Compulsive Gambling Linked with Requip and Mirapex

Two prescription medications commonly prescribed for Parkinson’s, and also used to relieve the symptoms of restless legs syndrome, have again been linked to compulsive gambling and hypersexuality.  A recent study from the Mayo Clinic found that of 66 patients who were taking either pramipexole (Mirapex) or ropinirole (Requip) for Parkinson’s, seven developed one of the destructive behaviors which resolved after the medications [...]
