Carbon Monoxide — Silent but Lethal

Each year unintentional CO poisoning, not linked to fires, kills about 450 Americans and poisons at least 20,000, according to the CDC. A recent warning from the CDC says to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning in your home, have your fuel-burning appliances serviced annually and install a battery-operated carbon monoxide detector.
